At this point, Cyberpunk’s reputation at launch is well documented. The game had a solid base of RPG mechanics and combat but was almost constantly buggy and ran very poorly on last-gen consoles. However, in the two years since Cyberpunk 2077 launched, CD Projekt Red has been hard at work, improving the game with frequent, sizable patches and graphical upgrades for current-gen consoles. One of the most significant patches for the game, Update 1....

On Twitter, CD Projekt RED’s global community lead Marcin Momot confirmed that the PC version of Cyberpunk 2077 being sold in North America would be digital-only. Those who purchase the game on PC in the United States or Canada will not be able to buy the game in a box and so can’t get the collector’s edition or the items in it. All other regions where the game is being sold on PC as a boxed version will get a downloadable code to get the game from GOG....

Despite the new Witcher game, which could well be a new saga, CD Projekt Red is committed to Cyberpunk 2077 as a franchise. Hence all the updates, and the 1.6 patch recently rolled out in an effort to keep the game in tip-top shape.
