The amount of content in Cyberpunk 2077 will be exhaustive. Set in the year 2077, as the title suggests, the open-world takes place in Night City. It’s a first-person game putting players in the role of V, a mercenary with an ambiguous background decided by the player, which ranges from one of Cyberpunk 2077’s corporate backgrounds to life as a street urchin. A plethora of characters can be interacted with by V, all of which who hold lore or critical information needed for quests and missions....

For those not in the know, there have been some internal changes going on at CD Projekt Red, with the director of Witcher 3 and its expansions, Konrad Tomaszkiewicz, taking up the mantle of design director for Cyberpunk 2077 and vice president of game development at the company. He is filling the roles following Cyberpunk 2077’s former creative director Sebastian Stepien’s departure from the company to join Blizzard on a currently unannounced project....

Despite the tumultuous launch of Cyberpunk 2077, which resulted in the game being taken down from the PlayStation Store due to its sheer number of problems, CD Projekt Red’s sci-fi open-world title has managed to turn itself around. With Cyberpunk 2077 getting the Phantom Liberty DLC next year, as well as the studio putting out a number of bug-squashing patches, things are looking a lot better for the dystopian RPG, and this latest announcement from Nvidia is just another way the game continues to improve....

Cyberpunk 2077 is already playable on next-gen systems through backward compatibility, but an official version of the game for the Xbox Series X and PS5 has not been released. Major controversy still circulates around the current console versions of Cyberpunk 2077, as the technical issues are so numerous and game-breaking that many players have said the game is nearly unplayable on the Xbox One and PS4. The game runs noticeably better when played on the PS5 or Xbox Series X, though it is still prone to glitches and occasional crashing....

This much was confirmed during gamescom 2018, with Cyberpunk 2077 producer Richard Borzymowski stating that even though it’s playable in-studio at CD Projekt Red, the developer still has a ways to go when it comes to being fully completed.
