Talking about what seemed like a stellar personal performance, Dadaso gushed, “I felt really good. It was my first match of the tournament and I am glad I could contribute to the team’s score.
All throughout the first 7 matches, I had been left on the bench so it was extremely satisfying to be selected for yesterday’s game.”
A true philanthropist, his story has been unique to say the least. From humble beginnings to helping poor kids go to school and now owning a team in the Maha Kabaddi League, Dadaso has been an inspiration on and off the court.
Head Coach of the Dabangs acknowledged the same, “He is a great character. Always perseverant, he brings a different dimension to our squad and we are glad we have him with us.”
Asked what made him select Dadaso yesterday, he said, “We were looking at someone who could contribute both in attack and defence. Thus we thought of him, as you saw he repaid our faith.”
His performance, however, can’t take away from the fact that the team lost its 3rd straight match on the trot. If at all Dadaso wants his effect to linger on in the PKL, he and his teammates would need to ensure that up the ante and win majority of their 4 home leg fixtures starting in 2 days time.
