Together with the young and exuberant Rohit Chaudhary, he has pulled the Dabangs single handedly out of the doldrums after what seemed like a demoralizing loss to the Telegu Titans in the season opener.

Hailing from a small village in Maharashtra, Kashi recalls how massive a boon the league has been and how performing here means the world to him:

Teammate and now captain Ravinder Pahal was full of praise for him too, “He is essential to our team’s fortunes, especially in Surjeet’s absence, it’s really greathow he has taken control and led the team.”

The man of the match award from what was perhaps the most exciting game of the tournament stands testament to his abilities; Kashi countered the Puneri Paltans’ defence with an array of back kicks and full body plunges, leading the Dabangs to a narrow 1 point win.

Carrying forward the same enthusiasm, he seemed to be in a different league against the Bengal Warriors last night and while the 100 successful raids might just be a mere statistic, but it’s a testament nevertheless to his tenacity and adroit presence on court.
