It’s easy to botch the rekindling, though, so it takes some careful choices and the right missions selection in Cyberpunk 2077 to make it happen. Here’s how players can experience Rogue’s full story and romance. This article contains some spoilers for Cyberpunk 2077’s main campaign.

Updated on January 5th, 2022 by Hodey Johns: Since Rogue is a romance option in addition to other romance options, many players are going to be intrigued by her. V is little more than a medium for the process, of course, and it’s Johnny that is looking to re-light the fire. Surprisingly, the rest of the cast is completely cool with this sexual escapade regardless of their feelings for V, so it’s a win-win that opens up an alternative “sun” ending for players to choose. To help facilitate this process, this guide has been updated with step-by-step headings so that readers who are scanning for information will know exactly what to do.

Complete Chippin’ In

Players can go about the game normally for a long time, even interacting with Rogue as positively or negatively as they’d like. Since it’s not V doing the romance, players have a lot of freedom. The side mission they’re looking for doesn’t pop up until after completing Tapeworm, a main mission.

To romance Rogue, it doesn’t matter which voice or body type players chose at the beginning, but they will first need to complete one of the best side missions, Chippin’ In.

Let Johnny Take Over And Agree To Date

During Chippin’ In, V must agree to let Johnny take over their body so he can speak with Rogue. She’ll help V and Johnny get a lead on Adam Smasher.

After the mission, Johnny will ask for V’s permission to take Rogue out on a date. To start Blistering Love, V will need to agree.

Complete Blistering Love

Immediately afterward, Blistering Love should appear in the journal. V will need to call Rogue, as prompted, and she’ll tell V to have Johnny meet her at Silver Pixel Cloud in the North Oak subdistrict of Night City, a decommissioned drive-in theater. V will need to drive to the Afterlife in one of the game’s speediest rides to pick up Rogue, who’s waiting just outside the entrance. Once they get to the drive-in, V will need to easily fix the projector before letting Johnny take the wheel.

When she asks if Johnny would do anything differently back in 2015, respond with “Do anything not to lose you,” after that, the only important note is to kiss her when prompted. Once the cutscene ends, it might seem like the end of Rogue’s romance, but there’s more story to unlock.

By finishing Blistering Love, V will now have access to finish the final mission with Johnny and Rogue in what’s referred to as the Sun ending of Cyberpunk 2077. After allowing Johnny to take full control for the last heist, nothing special needs to be done to experience the rest of Rogue’s story, which includes more romance between her and Johnny Silverhand.

Cyberpunk 2077 was released on December 10th, 2020, and is available on Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and PC.
