The Cyberpunk 2077 petition in question, which is available on change.org, was started on Tuesday, June 18, with the goal of convincing CD Projekt Red to add a “You’re Breathtaking” achievement to the game. Specifically, this achievement would be earned through 100% completion of Cyberpunk 2077, and, twelve hours after the petition was started, more than 8,000 players have signed in support of this addition to the highly anticipated open world RPG.

Certainly, Reeves’ E3 2019 exclamation has taken on a life of its own, and it appears that many fans think that a direct reference to it in Cyberpunk 2077 is warranted. While it remains to be seen if CD Projekt Red agrees with these players, if the Cyberpunk 2077 petition’s signature count continues to increase at the rate it has in its first day, it may just be enough to, at least, catch the developer’s attention.

With respect to Reeves’ appearance in Cyberpunk 2077, the veteran actor assumes the role of Johnny Silverhand, and fans may be happy to learn that this is not a brief cameo. Indeed, it is said that Keanu Reeves has the second most dialogue in Cyberpunk 2077, behind only the player character, which seems to suggest that players will get to spend significant time with Reeves, as Silverhand, when the Cyberpunk 2077 release date finally arrives.

To note, this is not the only Reeves-focused petition that is drawing attention at the moment, as another appeal is currently seeking to have Keanu Reeves named Time’s Person of the Year. The Person of the Year petition is currently sitting at over 25,000 signatures, and while it, and the Cyberpunk 2077 petition, may not bear fruit, their very existence makes one thing perfectly clear: 2019 is a breathtaking year for Reeves.

Cyberpunk 2077 will release on April 16, 2020 for PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
