In a recent interview with AreaJugones, Tomaszkewicz spoke of elements of Cyperbunk 2077 that have yet to be demonstrated. While the interview itself is in Spanish, a Reddit user provided an English translation for it. When asked about the game’s current state in comparison to last year’s gameplay demo, Tomaszkewicz said the following:

In addition, Tomaszkiewicz was asked about the game’s RPG elements and how they fit into Cyberpunk 2077’s first-person style. He responded by stating that the player’s character model can be personalized with various items, which are viewable in the inventory as well as on the character model itself. He added later, “our game is mainly an RPG, then the combat in the first person is something added to this genre.” He said that Cyberpunk 2077 “offers a variety of ways to complete the missions.” and that the game offers “a good amount of mechanics that are based on this concept which we have not yet shown, so stay tuned.”

In addition to the unseen gameplay concepts, Tomaszkiewicz also spoke of the weapon variety, stating “I think we have a wide range of weapons that will make our game stand out… in the previous demo that there were smart rifles and this is something that I have not seen much in the current FPS. Also, I think that in terms of gameplay we have some ideas and things that are not ready yet and that we are trying to implement, because they will be very good.”

Thus far, gamers have seen some exciting teasers and footage of Cyberpunk 2077, to say the least, with the game seemingly taking inspiration from sci-fi movies like Blade Runner and Minority Report, while still maintaining a highly unique identity. Whatever elements are left that have yet to be shown add to the game’s intrigue and, if one thing’s for sure, all eyes will be on the game come E3 2019. Hopefully, we’ll learn more about these gameplay components and things like Cyberpunk 2077’s release date.

While it has been suggested that Cyberpunk 2077 might be a cross-generation game, CD Projekt RED’s Cyberpunk 2077 is currently in confirmed development for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.
