Since then, CD Projekt Red has released numerous updates for Cyberpunk 2077, and it looks like the game is in much better shape. CD Projekt Red released the PS5 and Xbox Series X versions in February, and it even offered a free 5-hour trial and a special discount to attract new players. Now, over a year after its initial launch, players can buy Cyberpunk 2077 for an unbelievably low price.

Initially reported by IGN, the PS4 and Xbox One versions of Cyberpunk 2077 are available for just $5 at Best Buy for a limited time. This price is only being offered for today, and it will end at the end of the day. The base price is listed at $30, which means that Best Buy offers a staggering 83% discount. Interested customers should note that they are eligible for a free upgrade to the PS5 and Xbox Series X versions, which come with several improvements, including support for ray-tracing and an option for 60 FPS gameplay.

Most modern games regularly go on sale, but it will probably be difficult to find Cyberpunk 2077 for just $5. However, retailers may continue to offer great deals on Cyberpunk 2077 until they run out of old stock. After all, Cyberpunk 2077 was available for $10 during Black Friday, a hefty discount for a game that was almost a year old at that point.

CD Projekt Red had earlier confirmed that it’s working on a Cyberpunk 2077 expansion, so new customers will have plenty of content to look forward to in the future. The developer will continue to use REDengine for this expansion, but it will switch to Unreal Engine 5 for the next game in the Witcher series.

CD Projekt Red recently stated that Unreal Engine 5’s focus on open-world games was a big reason for making the change. Unreal Engine has proven to be reliable and compatible with almost all platforms over the years, so perhaps this move will ensure that this Witcher game’s launch is as smooth as possible.

Cyberpunk 2077 is available now on PC, PS4, PS5, Stadia, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
