One fan even believes that Elden Ring can offer quite the cute experience when combined with a more wholesome game franchise, that is. Specifically, one artist on Twitter decided to create “Elden Crossing,” which marks the unexpected crossover between Animal Crossing and Elden Ring. The art does not feature Animal Crossing characters in their quest to become Elden Lord, and instead shows what the NPCs of Elden Ring would look like with a cuter coat of paint.

Notable Elden Ring NPCs can be found all over the “Elden Crossing” artwork, with Sorcerer Rogier being one character than fans took a particular interest in. As Rogier is a polite character in Elden Ring anyway, many found his cute alter ego to fit the character well. Of course, Ranni the Witch is also present, but perhaps Elden Ring’s most famous NPC takes more of a background role in this artwork, as she can be spotted in the top left corner.
Unfortunately, there wasn’t space for every Elden Ring NPC to make it into the artwork. Fia, for example, can’t be found in the artwork, and neither can Dung Eater, despite these two characters being popular to Elden Ring players. The artist did state that they had doodled Dung Eater, so it is potential that the NPC could make his way into another piece of Elden Ring fan art. Some characters do appear, but are quite hard to see. Blaidd, for example, is tucked in just under Ranni, slightly hidden behind some trees.
Animal Crossing may seem like a strange crossover with Elden Ring, due to the sheer difference in tone and gameplay of the two titles. However, it seems that Elden Ring fans are more than happy to see their favorite characters in a cuter form. This isn’t the first time Elden Ring art has made a seemingly strange crossover work, as one fan recently designed a piece of fan art that put the Super Mario Bros in the Lands Between.
Elden Ring is available now for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
