Every time the Lamb steps into a dungeon, they are given two random items. One of these is a physical weapon and the other is a magical power, otherwise known as a Curse. There are four different categories of Curses, and they are ranked according to how powerful they are, with a higher number reserved for more advanced parts of the Crusades.

5 AoE Damage

These surrounded the Lamb with Divine Power and have several adverse effects on enemies, including damage over time and knockbacks.

Divine Blast. A circle of damage opens around the Lamb, damaging enemies and knocking them away. It gives the player some space when enemies feel overwhelming. Divine Guardian. Handy to fight enemies that use arrows or other ranged weapons , this gives the player a few seconds of invincibility and deflects projectiles back at enemies. Divine Blight. Doesn’t just knock enemies out of melee weapon range but also poisons them with a DoT, or damage-over-time effect. Divine Blizzard. Opens a circle of frost under the Lamb which knocks back enemies and freezes them.

4 Poison And Particle Trails

These are the ichor and oil-based Curse attacks that leave sticky trails to slow enemies down or poison them. Hold down the Target button to aim these before throwing them. Their effects last for two to three seconds, so one attack.

Path of the Righteous. Throws a projectile that explodes when it hits and leaves a deadly trail behind it. Any enemies that touch the ichor are poisoned. Ichor Thrown. A ranged ability that explodes into poisonous black ichor when it hits the ground and poisons any enemy that touches it. Point of Corruption. A projectile that explodes when it hits enemies and poisons them with DoT. Call of the Crown. Situational, as it only works to possess enemies when it directly hits but can give the Lamb a handy minion when it works.

3 From Beneath

All of these Curses seem to recall the powers of the Underworld, invoking tentacles, whirlpools, and other horrors from the ocean depths. They do variations of area-of-effect or AoE damage.

Maelstrom. Less precise to aim than a circle but more deadly, this spreads a long range of tentacles out in four directions centered on the player. Touch of Turua. A circle of tentacles erupts around the Lamb and damages enemies. A lower-level version of Maelstrom with less of a range but easier to aim. Touch of Ithaqua. These ice pillars, a frozen version of the tentacles, erupt beneath enemies and freeze them. Touch of the Revenant. The Lamb opens a chasm into the Underworld beneath their enemies, calling forth a horde of angry ghosts to attack.

2 Fiery Projectiles

These are the classic, ranged “magic missile” type spells that throw various kinds of projectile damage at enemies. They deal fire and holy damage.

Flaming Shot. One of the earliest curses the Lamb gets is limited but easy to use. Fire it with one click, or hold and aim to make it explosive. Cleansing Fire. A ranged ability that shoots three fiery projectiles that might not hit enemies but leaves a firey pit where it lands. Hounds of Fate. A single fireball that doesn’t need to aim, but seeks out enemies automatically. Strike of the Crown. A lower-level version of Call of the Crown, which always works on a direct hit, this only has a chance to possess enemies.

1 Extended Weapon Reach

These give the Lamb’s choice of weapons a more extensive range. This works to give smaller weapons a better hit chance and make ones with an already long reach absolutely brutal.

Death’s Attendant. A longer weapon range, better damage, and resurrects the slain to act as the Lamb’s minions. Death’s Squall. Enemies hit with Death’s Squall freeze and shatter when hit. It’s a neat effect with a hammer equipped. Death’s Sweep. Charge this Curse for an even better damage ability, allowing the player to hit several enemies with one attack. Oath of the Crown. Increased range and damage plus a chance to possess enemies when the Lamb hits them.
