In the 7th inning with the Cubs up, 7-0, Jorge Soler homered into the stands in left field. The ball was caught by the gentleman above.
As the fans cheered his newfound memorabilia, he ended up high-fiving a pal and wound up with his wedding ring in the dirt at Wrigley. It was eventually returned to the stands but the look on his face in the full video was so disheartening.
Meanwhile, I can think of no better way to encapsulate Cubs fandom than the thrill of catching a home run ball while at the same time losing your wedding ring.
