President and CEO of Crytek, Cevat Yerli, shows his excitement for the title’s release overseas:
The Korean market is no stranger to the online gaming market, Starcraft 2 is wildly popular there (they even hold tournaments where thousands attend to watch, in addition to being broadcast). There aren’t many online-shooters that have that kind of following, save for Counter-Strike, which is what Crytek is aiming to encroach upon.
There’s no doubt that like myself, others would like to see this game come to the states on either PC or console form. Although, judging how the private beta footage Crysis 2 looked, people could be hesitant on picking up an online-only Crytek game. It is footage from a beta though and all kinds of improvements could have been made already, the final product will tell the tale, though.
Just in case you did want to play Warface, the closest you might get is playing Crysis 2 when it comes out early next year, and if you wanted to get excited about it, check out this trailer.
Warface has no release date yet, but will be releasing only on the PC.
